Denise M Elser, MD

Dr. Denise Elser, a Chicago native, attended University of Illinois for her undergraduate degree, followed by Rush Medical College for her Medical degree. Her residency in Ob/Gyne was completed at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Hospital and then helped to create the Urogynecology Fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.

Lisa Labin-Johnson, MD

Dr. Lisa Labin-Johnson is Board- Certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reproductive Surgery, commonly referred to as Urogynecology. After achieving her undergraduate degree from Notre Dame University, she went on to complete fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine & reconstructive Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She joined the WHII team after practicing for 8 years at Northwestern. She is fluent in Spanish.

•   Pelvic organ prolapse: non-surgical treatment of prolapse & minimally-invasive gynecologic

•   Pelvic and perineal problems in women who have recently given birth

Janet Tomezsko, MD

Dr. Tomezsko is recognized for her Outstanding Urogynecology practice in the North Shore, and has practiced Urogynecology in the Chicagoland area since 1995. With a passion for treating women suffering from Urinary incontinence and Prolapse. She is dedicated to ongoing research in ground -breaking treatments for urinary incontinence, and providing Minimally Invasive Surgery when surgical treatments are needed for Urinary incontinence or Prolapse disorders.

Special Interests:
•   Helping women creating an individualized plan for their pelvic health

•   Conservative as well as surgical treatments for Stress Urinary Incontinence, Overactive Bladder
     and Prolapse.

Kathleen Cavato, APN, CPN, CNM

Kathleen, a lifelong south-sider, completed her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Xavier University. She went on to earn her MPH, Family Practice Nurse Practitioner (CNP), and Certified Nurse Midwife Degree (CNW) from The University of Illinois at Chicago.
Kathy was one of the first practicing Nurse Practitioners on the South Side of Chicago.

•   Urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse

•   Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing Excellence Award

Kavi Rajendran- PA-C

Kavitha joined us in 2017. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in Austin, and then achieved a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Texas Tech University Health Science Center.

Special Interests:
•   LARC (Long-Acting Reversible Contraception) including Nexplanon and IUD placement 
•   Fitting and placement of Pessaries for management of Urinary research and Incontinence

•   Research on New cutting- edge office based treatment for Women’s Health issues
